• Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
• Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.

Autocross, track days or a canyon road, the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO rewards a driver who stays located in the seat. The factory seat's bolsters and foam give up long before the chassis does. Swapping to an aftermarket bucket is one of the most effective upgrades you can make, provided the mount is as rigid as the seat.

Sparco 600 Series bases are vehicle-specific, bolt to the factory floor mounts and provide a flat, stable platform for an aftermarket seat. It's a 100% bolt-in installation, and it's easy to reverse if the car ever goes back to stock.

It's built from 3/16" steel for stiffness and finished in black wrinkle powder coat. The Sparco top plate is drilled for Sparco sliders. There's also a wide platform for direct side-mount installation (drilling required), which drops the seat as low as possible in a race car.

This is the driver/left base, sold individually. The passenger side is 600SB016R. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
