• Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
• Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.

A 1993-1997 Ford Probe is built to be driven hard, and the factory seat is usually the first thing that stops keeping up. Once the tires, brakes and suspension are sorted, you start sliding around in the stock seat mid-corner. A proper bucket fixes that, and it needs a solid base underneath it.

Sparco 600 Series seat bases pick up the factory seat mounts on the vehicle's floor and give your seat a flat, rigid mounting surface. Each base is vehicle-specific and a 100% bolt-in installation, so there's no cutting, welding or drilling into the floor.

It's built from 3/16" steel for stiffness and finished in black wrinkle powder coat. The Sparco top plate is drilled for Sparco sliders. There's also a wide platform for direct side-mount installation (drilling required), which drops the seat as low as possible in a race car.

This is the passenger/right base, sold individually. The driver side is 600SB230L. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
