This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.

Autocross, track days or a canyon road, the 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt rewards a driver who stays located in the seat. The factory seat's bolsters and foam give up long before the chassis does. Swapping to an aftermarket bucket is one of the most effective upgrades you can make, provided the mount is as rigid as the seat.

Sparco 600 Series seat bases pick up the factory seat mounts on the vehicle's floor and give your seat a flat, rigid mounting surface. Each base is vehicle-specific and a 100% bolt-in installation, so there's no cutting, welding or drilling into the floor.

The base is made from 3/16" steel for a strong, flex-free mount and finished in black wrinkle powder coat. Its Sparco-branded top plate is drilled for Sparco sliders. A wide steel platform also leaves room to mount side mounts directly to the base when you want the lowest possible seat position (drilling required).

This is the driver/left base, sold individually. The passenger side is 600SB225R. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
