The RaceQuip 5-Point Latch & Link Racing Harness is built around RaceQuip's Duckbill latch system — a distinctive pivoting hammer mounted on the lap belt that locks every strap into place with a single, deliberate motion. Both shoulder belts and the sub-strap hook over a center link, the link seats into the latch on the lap belt, and the Duckbill swings down over it, securing the whole assembly into a detent. It's a mechanically simple system that's been a mainstay in entry-level and club racing for decades.
Built from premium 3-inch polyester webbing with drop-forged steel hardware throughout, this set carries an SFI 16.1 rating and exceeds the standard's requirements. Like all RaceQuip 711-series harnesses, it uses a pull-down lap belt design — you pull the lap belt ends down and away from the center buckle to tighten, rather than pulling up. Shoulder belts adjust from 20" to 62" and the lap belt from 20" to 60", and because the harness is double adjustable, you can dial in fit from either end during installation.
The included three-bar slide hardware supports wrap-around or bolt-in mounting to your roll cage or harness bar (mounting bolts not included; snap hook ends and eyebolts are sold separately if needed). SFI 16.1 belts can be re-webbed and recertified upon expiration, extending the service life of the hardware. This set is Black and sold as one harness per seat. Not D.O.T./FMVSS certified — for off-highway racing use only, and only when properly mounted to a roll cage or harness bar.
