Planted Seat Bracket - Nissan 350Z Auto (2003-2008, Low Mount) - Passenger/Right
The Planted passenger-side seat bracket bolts an aftermarket seat to the factory floor points in the 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z Auto. It is laser-cut 3/16" steel, hand-welded in the USA and pre-slotted for most major slider patterns. It's a solid foundation for autocross, track-day and street builds.
| Part Number: | SB015.1-LOW-RGT |
| Manufacturer: | SB015.1LOWPA |
- Fits 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z Auto, passenger/right side
- Laser-cut 3/16" steel, hand-welded in the USA, black powder coat
- Pre-slotted for most major slider patterns, with room for custom drilling
- Standard bolt pattern: includes the Recaro slider pattern. Cobra Wide and Scheel-Mann sliders need one hole per slider elongated 1/8"
- Bolts to factory mounting points, no floor modification
- The LOW Automatic Passenger bracket is as low as possible without modifying the floor. It will be about as low as the LOW Driver bracket but will be positioned more toward the rear of the car, sitting behind the hump in the transmission tunnel. This "hump" may interfere with the forward adjustment of seat sliders, preventing them from adjusting as far forward as they normally would
- Fits all years and models of the Nissan 350Z equipped with an automatic transmission
- Not an FIA-homologated seat mount. Confirm acceptance with your sanctioning body before competition use
Disclaimers:
- Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
- Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
- Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.
- Professional installation is recommended.
Autocross, track days or a canyon road, the 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z Auto rewards a driver who stays located in the seat. Swapping to an aftermarket bucket is one of the most effective upgrades you can make, provided the mount is as rigid as the seat. This is the low-mount version, designed to put the seat as low as possible without modifying the floor.
Planted brings each vehicle into its development center and builds the bracket to the actual floor, which is why it bolts in rather than needing modification. Construction is 3/16" laser-cut steel, hand-welded in the USA for full penetration, with a black powder coat finish and three rounds of quality control.
Pre-slotted hole patterns cover most major slider brands, including Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Cobra, Corbeau, Momo and NRG. This Standard bolt-pattern version includes the Recaro pattern. Wide Cobra and Scheel-Mann sliders need one hole on each slider elongated by 1/8". If you'd rather delete the sliders to lower the seat, there's room to drill for a direct mount or side mounts.
The LOW Automatic Passenger bracket is as low as possible without modifying the floor. It will be about as low as the LOW Driver bracket but will be positioned more toward the rear of the car, sitting behind the hump in the transmission tunnel. This "hump" may interfere with the forward adjustment of seat sliders, preventing them from adjusting as far forward as they normally would.
This is the passenger/right bracket, sold individually. Order the driver side separately for a matched pair. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
