The IceBox's rechargeable power pack runs for 3+ hours, which covers most sprint races and track-day sessions. When the car stays out longer, though, keeping that pack charged becomes one more job for the crew. That applies to endurance stints, multi-driver events, and IceBox setups that live in the car full-time. The Chillout Systems IceBox 12V Automotive Hardwire Kit takes that job off the list.

This 10 ft (3048 mm) cable has a USB Type-C plug on one end and bare leads on the other. The Type-C end plugs into the IceBox's power input, and the bare end wires into the vehicle's 12V electrical system. With the car supplying power, the IceBox's 12V circulation pump keeps running as long as the car does. There's nothing to charge between sessions and no pack swaps mid-event.

The cable is rated to 3 A. The 10 ft length gives you enough slack to route it cleanly from the IceBox's mounting location to your power source, whether that's a switch panel, fuse block, or accessory circuit. For a proper race-car install, wire it through a fused, switched circuit. That way the cooler shuts down with the car's electrical system and the harness stays protected.
