• Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.

Putting a modern seat into a 1976-1989 BMW 6 Series is one of the best upgrades for a vintage build, but the original floor was never designed to carry one. Fabricated mounts rarely end up square, and they're hard to undo. A vehicle-specific bracket solves both problems.

Sparco 600 Series bases are vehicle-specific, bolt to the factory floor mounts and provide a flat, stable platform for an aftermarket seat. It's a 100% bolt-in installation, and it's easy to reverse if the car ever goes back to stock.

The base is made from 3/16" steel for a strong, flex-free mount and finished in black wrinkle powder coat. Its Sparco-branded top plate is drilled for Sparco sliders. A wide steel platform also leaves room to mount side mounts directly to the base when you want the lowest possible seat position (drilling required).

This is the driver/left base, sold individually. The passenger side is 600SB091R. Confirm your seat's dimensions against the cabin before ordering. Removing the factory seat can trigger airbag or occupancy warning lights, which may need a resistor. Professional installation is recommended.
