Planted Seat Bracket - Nissan 350Z 6-Speed (2003-2008, Low Mount) - Passenger/Right
The Planted low-mount passenger bracket for manual-transmission 2003-2008 Nissan 350Z models puts the passenger seat as low as possible without modifying the floor. It sits behind the tunnel hump rather than on top of it. It is laser-cut 3/16" steel, hand-welded and pre-slotted for most major slider patterns.

Disclaimers:
- Seats come in many different shapes and sizes, so not all seats will fit in all vehicles. It is up to the end user to determine if the seat will fit before ordering the seat bracket and other components.
- Many vehicles have the steering wheel offset toward the center of the vehicle. This can be accentuated when installing an aftermarket seat of a different size than the factory seat.
- Replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket seat may cause the vehicle's warning indicators to activate. This can be due to airbag, weight and/or other sensors in the factory seat that are not included in an aftermarket seat. It may be possible to eliminate these indicators with an electronic resistor, but it is up to the end user to determine if a resistor will work and which resistor to use.
- Professional installation is recommended.
The 350Z passenger floor is the awkward one. A large hump runs through it, and the pan differs between automatic and 6-speed cars. Planted's standard 6-speed passenger bracket rides on top of that hump. This low version drops the seat behind it instead, putting the passenger about as low as Planted's low driver bracket without cutting the floor.
There's a trade-off. Because the seat sits further rearward, the hump can limit how far forward the sliders travel. For a passenger or instructor seat that's rarely an issue, and the lower seating position gives much better helmet clearance under the Z's roofline.
Construction matches the rest of Planted's range. It's laser-cut 3/16" steel, hand-welded for full weld penetration, powder-coated black and checked at three quality-control stages. The mounting surface is pre-slotted for Recaro, Sparco, OMP, Cobra, Corbeau, Racetech and other major slider patterns. There's extra material for custom drilling or for a direct side-mount install without sliders.
This bracket is for manual-transmission cars only. Automatic 350Z models use a different passenger bracket. It's sold individually. Check your seat's fitment before ordering, and plan for occupancy sensor warnings once the factory seat is removed. Professional installation is recommended.
