overview
The GP-5 represents the result of Arai's pursuit of a comprehensive package, providing comfort and function wrapped in an attractive package.
The interior fit is typical Arai, benefiting from years of research and refinement resulting in a helmet that more closely matches the shape of the human head. Such a close fit allows for the smallest possible helmet to be worn, while still being comfortable - oftentimes a poor fitting helmet results in purchasing too large of a size in an effort to avoid painful pressure points.
Combined with incredible fit and comfort, Arai concentrates on balance and center of gravity. All too often, people concentrate more on the weight of a helmet instead of how that weight is distributed over the entire helmet, how much weight is carried down low, and most importantly, how that weight is transferred to your head. Arai's engineers have spent countless years addressing this issue, creating one of the most balanced helmets on the market today. As such, a helmet that is more evenly balanced, carrying more of its weight down low, will appear to be lighter and cause less driver fatigue.

sizing chart

An effective helmet is one that fits properly. Have an assistant use a measuring tape, or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head starting at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows in front, around a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement, and finally wrapping back to the front. It is a good idea to take several measurements to make sure you have the largest one.
